Cheek Lift
Description
Many people have a very round face or bulging cheeks, what we call big cheeks. There we find the Bichat bags, which are compartments of fat located on either side of the face.
By removing these bags we can refine and shape the face. This procedure is very popular for refining the cheeks and accentuating the cheekbones, especially in people with rounded or oval faces, thus obtaining a better facial contour.
Recovery from this procedure depends on the patient, and is on average about seven days. It is an outpatient procedure; that is, it does not require hospitalization. Some edema (swelling) is normal and disappears almost completely within 10 to 15 days.
Additionally, submandibular vibro-liposuction is performed for shaping the face more.
